3

It's so significant to me right now. My baby, sweet, sweet Winston, will be three in May. It is too much for me. He is still so much a baby.

There are 3 boys in my life right now. My beautiful husband and my two baby boys. When Papa is gone, there are the two extensions of my self that I spend my entire world with and in.

Then there is the baby that we want to make. A third child. Could I be pregnant right now? Yes, I very well could. And if I'm not, then I hope to be within the next 2 months.

Oh. I don't want the babies to grow up. I want them to let me hold them and smell them and kiss their little pillow lips.

Winston puts his hands so soft on my cheeks and says "Boofin Mommy, Boofin". And tonight, while we were getting jammies on, Wednesday grabbed my face in his 16 month old hands and kissed me full on the mouth, at least 6 times. They were so yummy, those baby kisses.

Wednesday brought me a junebug the other night. I screamed, I thought it was a fuzz off the floor. I should have known by the very odd look on his little face that it wasn't just a fuzz. He was so determined the bring it to me though. He even dropped it once. Brave boy.

Wednesday says "You're rilly silly Mama" and "Oh, it's my favorite!". They are the greatest things, beings, thoughts, loves I've ever had.

Come on little baby, we're all waiting on threes.

Hair

My first baby had his first real haircut today.  He will be three in May.  He looks like the most beautiful hippie skater kid ever.  I love him even more, if that's possible, because I can now see a larger small glimpse of who he's becoming.  I know this was a hard decision for The Mr.  I know he would have rather left long for longer.  Thank you for being brave my husband.

The funny thing is that his hair was so long that it's actually about the same length now, after being cut, that it was when he was 18 months old.  So he made a circle really.  An only boy, almost big brother, big boy circle.  I will miss putting those small circles in his hair to hold it back.  He called himself a handsome hippie.  He still is.  I can still put it up on top of his head like Bam Bam from the Flinstones.

The excitement over all the things I feel ready to do with him now is the best part.  We talked about the haircut for so long.  We talked about all the things we would do after the haircut for so long.  The number one thing he wants to do?  Go to the library.  He is a precious boy.

I can't wait to get there.

Winston Reverie

Hello out there all you non-readers, you!  I promise little blog that someday someone will read you besides The Mr.  Anyway...

Winston has taken to a few new phrases that I think are hilarious.  When he wakes up in the morning he either cries for forever and a half or starts talking.  This morning after he drank half of his juice he demonstrated his first new phrase.  "Mama, the baby's hands are COLD!"  To which I am supposed to lift the bottom of my shirt so he can put his hands on my tummy.  Then I rub his fingers with my shirt and warm up his hands.  He loves it, and I love that my stretched out tummy serves a purpose again.

Another similar one is that he has realized he can tell when he's about to sneeze.  When his nose starts to tingle he says, "Mama, does your nose itch?"  We have yet to get our pronouns straight.  But I am required to rub his nose between two fingers and make the tingle go away.  He almost always sneezes anyway, but I enjoy being of service!

One other inspired observation (After patting my butt while I fold clothes):  "Mommy does not have testicles, because Mommy is a girl".  I swear he's a genius!

Requirements

They aren't all that pretty, and they came from a mix. But sometimes, Saturdays require pancakes, in whatever form they take.
The boys loved them. But more than that they are a small nod to Jen at breedemandweep. I've been on both sides of her mind right now, and I'm good at that too. I've never commented over there, but I just wanted to do something.
In other news, after deciding from a long list of possible nuts: acorn, peanut, cashew, almond.. Winston has decided that he is my Lovey Chesnut.
